Matt Starcher (the Mattdad) is a local chef and Johnson and Wales Graduate. Matt teaches classes at Kitchen Barn and on occasion can be found on the showroom floor sharing his passion for cooking and teaching folks how to cook. He is a super proud dad and granddad to four amazing kids - Mia, Riley, Ruby and Anna - and grandson Shepherd Fox. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Rhonda, and they live in Chesapeake.
Matt is also the creator of MaD Seasoning - sold here at the store - and it has become his full-time job. After cooking professionally for thirty years and now teaching classes at Kitchen Barn for the last 8 years, he is still amazed that he gets to share this dream of cookery. “I cant believe I get to teach, present and cook and folks come to my classes…..thank y'all.”
Matt's classes vary from hands-on sushi or pasta workshops to farm-to-table chef demos that are multi-course meals. In Matt's classes you will be entertained, educated and filled with amazing food. Can I get an OH-MY!! Thanks for checking out Kitchen Barn and thinking about a class.
